SNAP is a boundary institution — at the boundary of analysis and action.
Our inquiries are carried out by Working Group collaborations, which each address a single major question at the trade-off frontier of nature conservation, economic development and human well-being.
Working Groups apply for residency. These groups can be made up of scientists, practitioners, policymakers and others who have critical expertise and/or stakes in the answers to these questions.
We have just closed a call for additional Working Group proposals directed toward addressing other major questions at the trade-off frontier of nature conservation, economic development, and human well-being. A new call will be made in early 2015.
